Disembarking from the ferry at the port of Gavrio, we take the only road to the island's capital, Chora. After the village of Agios Taxiarchis, there is a sign for Pitrofos on our left, we turn left and follow the road almost to the end where Ano Pitrofos is, just after the spring of the village is the house which has an endless view of the entire lower area to the sea. Entering from the main entrance is the living room with sofas, a table in the middle and an armchair, with expensive furniture, table lamps and an old chest of drawers. At the back of the living room are two bedrooms, the first with a double bed and a buffet, the second with two single beds, before the bedroom is a large bathroom. On the left side of the living room is the dining room with a large wooden table, and the living room with the fireplace, from the living room there is a door that leads us to the front outdoor terrace. Opposite the dining room, going down two steps, is a large kitchen fully equipped with a table and large cabinets, and there is an opening in the wall where we can serve from the kitchen to the living room. At the end of the outdoor terrace and on the right is a covered area where there is a large stone table with a seating area, ideal for having breakfast and lunch. Right next to the main entrance there are wooden stairs that lead to the lower level, as we go down to the left there is a bedroom with a double built-in bed, next to a bathroom and then a storage space with a door that leads to a huge lower courtyard and this one with an unobstructed view to the sea. Continuing on the main road from which we came, after about 10 km we reach Chora, the capital of the island, where we can visit the two large museums of Goulandris and Kydoniaios. There is a full market, cafes, restaurants, banks and a medical center.
