The village is surrounded by countless olive groves and has panoramic views over the olive groves and up to the sea. The area is a good starting point for some of the most popular beaches of western Crete such as Balos, Elafonissi and Falasarna. In the nearby small town of Kissamos you will find all kinds of shops and services as well as a long sandy beach. The city and the airport of Chania are about 40 and 50 minutes' drive, respectively.
