In the area of the Archaeological Museum, an excellent independent 1,300 sq.m corner building, with two entrances, is available for lease. The building, which has been designated by the Ministry of Culture as a Historical Architectural Monument, was constructed at the end of the 19th century as the residence of a prominent military officer and during its life had different uses, before being revived, after its restoration, as a space for contemporary art : - Τhe building's load-bearing structure was reinforced in accordance with the relevant legislation in force, a new staircase and elevator for the disabled were added and it was energy-shielded with modern electromechanical installations, - conservators and a specialized architectural office worked for three years to uncover, restore and preserve the 19th century ceiling paintings, - the plaster decoration, doors and cement tiles of the 20th century were transferred to specialized workshops where they were meticulously repaired and reinstalled and, - on the building's rooftop, the graffiti from the period when the building was occupied were saved and repaired, as a sample of modern urban life in the building's history and a space for meetings and lectures was created.
