Leaving Volos, after a beautiful 25 km. drive we arrive in Milies, at the house. A private road, remote-controlled gate, leads to a comfortable parking lot, next to the lower entrance of the house. A large gazebo with a magical view of the Pagasitic Gulf, the green slopes and the mountains up to Evia. Paved levels around, a dreamy one under the huge lime tree. The church of the Pammegisthi Taxiarchs on the northern side of the plane-shaded square is famous for its incredible acoustics and its impressive pronaos. The Folklore Museum is very interesting, with works by Theophilos as well. The most beautiful sight is of course the famous Pelion train by De Chirico, the station is doll-like, the route along the lines is fantastic. Almost nearby is Vyzitsa with its stunning stone-built mansions, and nearby are Pinakates and Agios Georgios. Many paths and cobblestones for walks and hikes. In winter, easy access to the ski resort of Chania.
