It's a complex of 6 houses at the village of Kousounari, on a 1.442m2 estate with olive trees, grapevines and many other types of local trees and plants. From the west it has a view of the sunset, the sea, Cape Tainaro and eastern Mani. From the east it has a view of Cape Malia. The houses have been built with great care and respect to the traditional architecture. Local stone is the main structural material of the buildings. They have hipped roofs with Roman tiles. In order to protect the houses from the weather conditions of the island, construction solutions were made with ingenuity and a wonderful aesthetic effect. An earthy color palette prevail in the interior of the houses. The furniture has been designed and manufactured in Kythira from chestnut, cypress and eucalyptus wood, great importance has been given to elegance, comfort and timelessness in every detail. The wood came from Peloponnese. The windows are made of chestnut wood, a material of great resistance to weather conditions and double glazing. The residential complex consists of: → One 40m2 stone-built building. The house is not adjacent to another building, it is independent and has its own entrance with direct access to the garden. The interior space has a visible roof made of round cypress trunks, which gives even greater height to the space and an ocher polished concrete floor. The stone of the walls is visible and the window and door openings are topped with a stone arch, a traditional construction detail not easily found in newly constructed buildings. The house is an open-plan which includes the kitchen, the dining room, a double bed, a sofa bed and the bathroom. The maximum height of the building is 3.90m. → One stone-built building of 103m2 that is divided into two houses of approximately 50m2 each. → One stone-built building of 105m2 that is divided into two houses of approximately 50m2 each. The following description applies to the above 4 houses: Each house is an open-plan space, with its own entrance and direct access to the garden. It has a visible roof made of Swedish wood and an ocher polished concrete floor, the stone of the walls is visible. The ground floor includes the kitchen, dining room, living room and bathroom. On the mezzanine is the double bed, it has a wooden floor and is accessed by an internal straight and comfortable staircase. The maximum height of the building is 6.5m. Two of the four houses have a fireplace. → One independent stone-built building of 54m2 with a fireplace. The space is an open-plan area, the stone on the walls is visible, it also has a visible wooden roof with round cypress trunks, which gives even greater height to the space. The upper part of the window and door openings is stone arched. The windows and door are made of steel with double glazing. It is used as a gathering space, reception and art workshop.
