Astrida is a lowland settlement of Thassos. It is located just in the southern part of the island and a little inland, above the cape of Salonikiou and on the ring road connecting Thassos with Limenaria, at an average altitude of 75 m above sea level. It is about 43 km south-south-west of the island's capital. In antiquity it was the vineyard of Thassos, and numerous ancient ruins, mostly of linen for pressing the grapes and storing the wine, reinforce this belief. Besides, the settlement is famous for its wines. The beaches of 'Ggiola', 'Kalami' and 'Salonikios', south of the settlement, and 'Psili Ammos' to the west. The first forms an enclosed structure in the shape of a natural "pool". Part of the parcel (3,062.46m² ) is located within the settlement with a frontage of 44.32 meters on asphalt, while the remaining 2,015.10m² is located outside the settlement boundaries and is not structurable. The distance from the sea is 1,230 meters, builds 400m², with 60% coverage and a height limitation of 7.5 meters plus the roof and the mandatory tiled roof. Ideal for mild tourist development, holiday home or why not permanent residence.
