Beautiful, sympathetically restored Olive Press, situated in the quiet village of Embrosernos, with views to the majestic white mountains and only 15 minutes drive to the large blue flag sandy beach at Georgioupolis. Ideal for someone wishing to escape to a quiet rural hideaway in an authentic Greek village. The space The Olive press is a characterful stone building which still retains the original millstone base, and olive press which are in the spacious bedroom area downstairs. The living accommodation is upstairs to capitalise on the beautiful views across to the mountains, and there is a small balcony perfect for unwinding, taking in the panorama, enjoying a glass of wine, and watching the sun go down. There is also a day bed in this area which would accommodate an extra guest if needed. The kitchen is a large airy space and is equipped for home cooking, which contains a small wood burning stove and a dining table. Please note the bedroom is accessed down a flight of stone stairs which are open on one side. Outside is a private sunny courtyard which has a dining table and chairs for al fresco dining, a pergola, and an adjacent bathroom (with shower and toilet). There is a parking area at road level. ( A smaller car is recommended as the parking space is tight and the village roads are narrow and twisty). The courtyard and front door is accessed via a flight of steep stairs. Guest access Guests have access to the whole of The Olive Press and the Alvi (the bathroom adjoining the house) Other things to note The property has steep steps and an open stairway so is not suitable for children or anyone with mobility issues. The village roads are quiet but narrow. As with all villages, during thunderstorms there are may be an occasional loss of power, and during dry spells the water tank may be slow to refill.
