The property is located in a village outside Heraklion-15 km away from the city. The village: Fifteen kilometers from Heraklion and to the south, at the foot of Giuchtas with a view of the sea and the Psiloritis mountain ranges, lies the village of Agios Syllas. Due to this spatial location, but also the strength and heroism of its inhabitants, it was chosen as the place where the oath of the first united National Resistance against the German invaders in all of Europe was taken (Hamamoutzis cave). The village's name is due to Saint Sulla, who is also its patron saint. It was first mentioned in Venetian censuses. According to the Kallikrates plan and its amendment by Cleisthenes I, together with the settlements of Zervos Metochi, Kampos, Malades and Tsagaraki, they constitute the community of Agios Syllas, which falls under the municipal unit of Temenos of the Municipality of Heraklion and, according to the 2011 census, has a population of 545 residents.
