'Villa Papalexi' is located on the eastern side of the town of Krestena (Xenophontos 173) of the Municipality of Krestena-Andritsaina in the Olympia District of the Prefecture of Ilia. It is the work of the famous architect Ernestos Ziller and was built in 1890-1891 by Nikolaos Papalexis, MP of Ilia, (descendant of Morayannis Papalexis) and vice president of the Parliament under Charilaos Trikoupis. In 1896, the French politician Clemenceau, Prime Minister of France, was hosted in this villa during his tour of the region.
