Location: The villa is located, at Gastouri village in Corfu, Greece. Gastouri is an exceptionally beautiful, picturesque village at eight kilometers from the city of Corfu, on the southeast coast close to Perama and Benitses, built on a verdant landscape, amongst olive groves, on the slopes of the mountain of Agioi Deka. It is not by chance that the Empress of Austria, Sissy, chose Gastouri in 1889 to build her palace, the famous Achilleon Palace which is one of the most significant and popular sights of the island. Gastouri is full of mansions and summer houses dating back to the 18th and 19th century with coats of arms, verandahs, elaborate, characteristic doors and well-groomed yards. The spectacular views from the hillside are second to none. The villa was built in 1994 at a location with unobstructed views to the greenish Corfiot countryside. It is ideal for people who like beautiful countryside views, romantic sunsets, privacy & quietness, nature & clean environment. Although the villa is located at the south East countryside, it has easy access (15 minutes driving) to the famous sandy beaches of Glyfada, Aghios Gordios and Kontogialos, located at the west coast. Villa Description: The house is built on a 2142,42 sqr. meters fenced private land. The building's size is about 462,52 sqr. meters, divided in a ground floor and two floors, with round balconies. It is built on an inner domestic road 400m away from Gastouri’s main road, ensuring the privacy and quietness of the place. Special attention has been paid to the general layout of the indoors with functionality in mind. It has been constructed to a high standard using good quality materials and great attention to detail. On the ground floor there are two individual apartments plus common areas and the place where the central heating installation is. These apartments are two room apartments with kitchenette, bedroom, living-room, bathroom with shower and are used to accommodate guests or grown-up children. At the back of these apartments, there is the basement of the villa. A corridor that ends up to couple of rooms for general use, a toilet with shower and access to the garden, too. The central heating is individually activated and adjusted for the main house and each apartment. It is based on gas propane; the gas tank is located outside the villa. For hot water, there is a boiler which operates either on gas propane or on electric power and can be adjusted to provide hot water from a few hours a day to 24 hours a day. The boiler is big enough to support 100% the needs of the entire house on 24 hours basis. On the 1st floor there is a big open plan lounge with its own fireplace, a dining area with a fully fitted kitchen, a small living-room with fireplace and a guests wc. A wooden door to a staircase leads down to the basement, while a second staircase leads upstairs to the 2nd floor. The access to the 1st floor is possible through an entrance at the big open plan lounge or an entrance through the kitchen. On the 2nd floor there are 4 rooms in total. The master bedroom with an en suite bathroom with a big bathtub, the study room with wooden selves and a big wardrobe, two additional bedrooms and a second bathroom with bathtub. All bedrooms on this level have balconies with views to the greenish Corfiot countryside. Both the two ground floor apartments and the upper building are sharing a common TV installation which is already equipped with the proper wiring to support satellite channels, too. The water requirements of the house are covered through the local water company DEYAK. In addition, the house has its own water tank, capable to support the house long enough, in case there is a malfunction to the local pipelines. The electric needs of the house are covered through the Greek Electric Company. The house has a beautiful Mediterranean garden that surrounds it and a barbeque. It is mostly planted with grass, olive and fruit bearing trees, roses, and other kinds of flowers. It has its own automatic watering spaying system, fully programmable. Along with the garden are the 2 parking places. The smaller parking place is located next to the ground floor apartments, suitable for 1-3 cars. The bigger parking place (part of it covered with a roof-top) is suitable for 1-7 cars, depending on the cars' size.
